Small Hair Elastics

We bought these elastics at the beginning of last year. I was looking for the most bang for buck knowing that the price for the amount might mean they were lesser quality and easy to break. To my surprise, they’re really good! They’re thick and can be stretched without snapping super easily. We often do hairstyles that require a lot of elastics and yet we still had elastics left over by the end of the year.

40 Piece Bow Set

Lastly, a variety of bows! We own this exact set of bows and have loved them the last two years we’ve been using them. I love that each color comes in sets of two for pigtails and buns. Plus, theres several shades of each color!

## No Braid Hairstyle Ideas For School

1.

This adorable hairstyle is called a bubble pony and it’s super trendy right now! Trust me, they look way harder than they actually are.

Here’s a great tutorial on how to do these!

2.

Similar to the bubble pony yet, completely different.

Starting off with two small sections in the front, tie them up into two small ponies. Repeat with another smaller section directly behind them while adding the pony from the front section. Repeat one more time before gathering the rest of the hair into two small buns!

3.

I love, love, love this hairstyle! This is an easier version of the upside down dutch braids into space buns! I’m pretty pro at dutch braids and still have trouble with upside dutch braids. Now you can have a similar style with far less effort!

Again, building off the of the bubble pony hairstyle only starting from the bottom. Because we’re starting at the bottom of the hair, all of the rest of the hair is covering where you’re trying to work. A helpful tip for doing this is to section the hair in half and then using a duck clip, clip up the rest of the hair out of the way.

Similar to how you let down a section of hair layer by layer when curling your hair, you’ll just work your way up. Once at the crown of the head, grab the rest of the hair in front and smooth into two buns!

4.

This is called a bubble braid but don’t let the name scare you!!There is no braiding involved in this hairstyle but it does look very similar to a dutch braid.

To get the hairstyle you start at the top with a small section tied up into a small pony. Then, create a second pony directly behind it. Split the first pony in half and combine it with hair a section down for your 3rd pony. Your second pony is now peaking through between the first pony and third. Split that second pony in half and repeat all the way down.

Here’s a great tutorial that shows just how easy this is!

5.

Okay, no bubble anything for the hairstyle lol!

Here is a simple half up, half down hairstyle into an easy bun. Starting at the ears, pull up the front section of hair at the crown of the head. Pull the hair into a pony and wrap the tie around twice, on the third tie only pull the hair through about half way. You’ll be left with a bun and a “tail” as shown in this photo.

6.

While this hairstyle is not a bubble pony, it does follows similar steps! The main difference here is that your sections will be much further apart and you won’t be pulling them into create a bubble effect. Instead, work your way down to slightly above the nape of the neck and tie off into two adorable pig tails!

7.

I’m telling you, once you have the basic non-braided hairstyles down, the possibilities are endless! How cute are these low bubble pony pig tails?

8.

Speaking of cute pigs tails, these pigs tails with a twist are beyond adorable!

This hairstyle looks fancier than it actually is but it’s honestly super simple.

Start by splitting the hair in half and creating two low pig tails. Be sure not to pull them too tightly by leaving a small gap between the tie and the base of the head. In this gap, use your finger to create a small slit. Flip the pig tail upwards and pull it through the small slit you created. Repeat on the other side and you’re done!

9.

I’m super guilty of forgetting about the classic hairstyles while trying to keep up the trendiest new hairstyles. Simple low buns like this are always a favorite and forever cute! Don’t forget about the power of accessories either. You can spice up basic buns like this with bows, ribbons and even cute clips for a fresh look built off of the classic.

10.

Here’s a clean and simple no braid hairstyle idea you can pull together in under 60 seconds as you head out the door!

Starting at the ears, pull up the front section of hair at the crown of the head into a pony. Be sure not to pull the pony too tightly to the base of the head. Leave a small gap between the hair tie and the head. Using your finger, make a split that small gap. Flip the pony upwards and pull through the gap you created. Lightly pull to tighten if needed! That’s it!

11.

As you’ve probably figured out by now, a lot of no braid hairstyle ideas build off of each other!

You already know how to do a full bubble braid and this is the exact same thing, just quicker. Instead of continuing all the way down, you stop at the nape of the neck and tie them off into two pig tails!

12.

How cute is this hairstyle? And NO braids are involved!

Starting at the temples, section off the front section of hair. Split that section of hair into thirds and pull into three loose ponytails. Instead of using your finger to make a small slit, you may want to use a rat tail comb instead. Pull each pony through its small slit. Gather the ends of each pony tail and combine them with hair gathered at the crown of the head. Pull the hair and three small ponytails into a single pony tail. Accessorize with a bow!

13.

Bubble pony galore over here but we can’t help it – it’s so cute!

Starting behind the ears section off the front of the hair and split into two. Pull each section into a pony. Instead of adding hair to the bubble pony like other hairstyles, you’re just going to work with the tail of the pony as you would at the end of a regular bubble pony. Meet the two bubble ponytails together at the crown of the head and combine into one pony! Add a bow and you’re done!

Ps. I love that they coordinated the colors of the hair ties to the bow!

14.

Here’s another hairstyle that looks far more daunting than it actually is!

Starting behind the ears section off the front part of the hair. From there, create smaller sections and tie off into small ponytails. Once you have sectioned off all of the hair gather the rest of the hair from the back. Pull together the hair from the back along with the hair from the pony tails and combine!

15.

I’m a sucker for half up, half down hairstyles. They’re the best of both worlds!

Starting at the temples, section off a small square of the hair. Make sure the section doesn’t go back too far. Pull the hair into a small pony and split the hair from the pony in two. Gathering the rest of the hair from the front, pull it up from right behind the ears. Split that remaining hair into two ponytails. Taking one half of the previously split pony, add that hair to each pony!

16.

It’s so easy to overlook what we consider “basic” hairstyles and the power of a simple accessory.

This low pony with a hidden elastic and a clean, simple, white bow is proof of that! To cover the elastic you simply take a small section of hair from the pony, wrap it around the elastic a few times and secure it by either tucking it into the elastic or using a bobby pin.

17.

Here’s a super unique hairstyle!

This looks like an off centered bubble pony into side bun – minus the bubble part and instead pulled taut.

18.

Messy little space buns are probably one of my favorite hairstyles on little girls of all time!

Here’s a simple half up, half down double space bun hairstyle with matching bow! To achieve the messier look, you may need to bobby pins.

19.

Here’s a cool hairstyle to try out!

Start by sectioning off the front section of hair and splitting into two pig tails. From there, split the bottom section of hair into two as well. Next, cross the top pigtails and combine with the opposite side to create two final pig tails. Finish with or without bows!

20.

Another unique twist on the bubble pony with this half up, half down hairstyle! Super cute with the matching white elastics and bows!

21.

There you have it! As you can see, there are tons of adorable no braid hairstyle ideas out there for those who struggle with braiding hair. The possibilities are endless! Here’s to good hairdays!
