Sideslip I am not a robot | Yeah that looks...well...cramped. So what size and brand is the trailer. I had one and it was too big. But the one you have looks as if it would fit in my garage without a problem. But I need a dolly so I can roll it over into the shop. This old man don't lift trailer tongues anymore. |

FM No Static | Dollies are great . I just picked up a wheel for mine and it rolls around fine. I do have to remove it when traveling. No problem...just pull the pin. Fitting in the garage / shop is a bonus. |

Sideslip I am not a robot | I'd like to find a small trailer with a pivoting dolly. But that's tough with small trailers because the tongue area is so short. I had one of the wheels that fit in the jacking tube, and like you had to remove it for towing. Not too bad, but not perfect either. I'm going to try to save some cash and plan for a trailer in the future. I really liked my first trailer but it was 12X8 and way too tall. I'm thinking 5 or 6 X 10 foot for the next one. No ramp door this time either. Takes too much room to open. How you doing with the 95 ? Fit well in your trailer ? |

FM No Static | 6x10 vnose has a ton of room. Here is a tour with the 93 laser. I like the height but the trailer will not fit in my garage and must be stored outside.

Sideslip I am not a robot | That's nice FM. I like the rail system. What's that called? Wonder if I can get it from Amazon? Thunderstorms or at least rain moving in. I'm going to stay in the house and surf the web for some stuff. I lost a good 6S 3700mah battery when the Muscle Coupe went in. And I'm looking at the Admiral 6S 40C from Motion RC for my Laser 74. I bought one set from Amazon (Floureon) but I ran them in my Carbon Z Cub (test bed plane) and I wasn't overly impressed. So I'm shopping for another battery. Not wanting to spend too much, 'cause I've beat up my budget pretty good what with the Nall cancellation and all. Maybe I'll call a couple of local trailer sales places today. Hope to get one for under $3K. |

FM No Static | My 6x10 v nose was 3100 all in. The rack system is etrak. You can buy 5' length for 20 bucks at harbor freight. If you want to build a bunk send me a PM and I will send you 6 of the adapters for that. You pay the freight. I bought to many. E bay, Amazon has it all. Home depot, Lowe's and harbor freight all sell the clips for the trak. You can also get it at Granger if you have that by you. Good luck! Look forward to a tour of yours! |

Sideslip I am not a robot | I've got to find one first. The folks that built my last trailer are not very well thought of in this area. Their quality control has gone in the dumper over the last few years. Mine had to go back to their shop twice to get it right. And one guy I ran into at MEFF last year said his hitch coupler broke off going down the road, after only a few thousand miles. So I'm going to be very picky this time. I'd take those adapters if they'll fit. But if Harbor Freight sell that stuff, I can pick up all I'll need there. Nice of you to offer. How many did you need. I'm thinking 4 to make a good shelf. Could you make a T bar type shelf support with that stuff for the nose of the trailer? I'm gonna pick your brain on this one. Still might be a while before I buy one. Not a big hurry this year. So I'll shop when it's convenient. Have a couple of builders near us but most are located in northern Indiana. And I'm going to go to the shop that builds it before I buy this time. Thanks FM I appreciate the help. Now that I look at that track, I'm going to get some to put up adjustable shelves in the furnace hallway in my garage too. |

FM No Static | No problem. I did get the cross beam supports from Granger. I did 3 crossbeams and 3/4" ply on the bunk. 4 would be plenty for supporting planes and other rc fun stuff. Way overboard on strength for plane hauling but I built that expecting one day I would carry something heavy or even sleep on it. The wood supports for the v nose was just the tools available to me. Hindsight I wish I had used metal supports for the shelves up front. Would have been less obtrusive and cleaner looking. It was fun though figuring out how to make the supports though. Check your local craigslist for the trailer...a lot of people buy trailers for a move across the country and then sell them. I looked at a few of them but I am to OCD about a scratch or dent. Besides...used prices were only a couple hundred less than new with warranty. |

Sideslip I am not a robot | Yeah, I'm the same way. I don't often buy used planes nor do I want a used trailer. If it gets scratched, I want to be the guy that did it. BTW, speaking of new. I just came up from the shop. Been fitting the cowl to the Laser V2. Got it sanded to a perfect fit (still sung) and man is that going to be a pretty airplane. I'm almost afraid to work on it. I don't want to scratch it. |

FM No Static | Thanks vic. I am going to try large scale again. First attempt went badly on a 93 laser. 5 flights was not enough to learn if that is for me or not. Silly thumbs. I am a huge fan of the 74. What v2 laser Bert? You have the 93 right? |

Sideslip I am not a robot | What 93...is there such a bird? I have the V2 Laser 74. Sweet looking plane. My first venture into 12S Electric fixed wing. Makes me a little giddy just thinking about it. I once had a Trex 700E, 12S...the power was awesome. |

It is a 5x10 with a 2 foot Wedge nose, made by Atlas. It fits in my garage, and my garage is low. I replaced the regular jack with a folding jack with a wheel on it that I got at Overtons. I don't have a pic tho.... ImagesView all Images in thread
