Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack 2 Wish List
With Supergiant Game's bombastic roguelike Hades being hailed and basically iconified as one of the most recognizable roguelike games, it's no wonder that it's sequel did so amazingly shortly after it shadow-dropped. The second game has been selling extremely since it came out in early access and new people are constantly discovering it and subsequently falling in love. In the first Hades, however, players take the role of Zagreus, Prince of the Underworld, as he desperately tries to escape the House of Hades and see the outside world while also learning about himself, his family, and the people around him.

All The Gods In Hades, Ranked
Hades (and now it's sequel as well) are two incredibly beloved roguelikes. And, of all the gods that appear in them, these are the best.
To help in his escape, Zagreus uses a variety of different tools, from Keepsake items to Boons granted by the gods and even magical weapons. To be more specific, there are weapons called Infernal Arms (in-game) that Zagreus can select before heading out into Tartarus. They all have unique names and functions, but it basically boils down to a sword, a shield, a bow, a machine gun, a spear, and some punching gauntlets. These 'Infernal Arms' all have unique playstyles as well as a variety of different 'Aspects' to them, and there are certain Boons Zagreus can look for and pick out during a run that works best for each weapon and Aspect.
Updated May 23rd, 2024 by Jacob Buchalter: With Hades 2 now out in Early Access, Hades is once again on the minds of everyone in the general gaming community. So much so, in fact, that the first Hades game actually hit a new max concurrent player count on Steam (at the time of writing this). Essentially, people are enjoying the second game so much that they're either returning to the first game to enjoy it all over again or checking out the first game for the first time after falling in love with the sequel. A big part of what makes Hades' combat so incredible has to do with the Infernal Arms and their respective Aspects (or the Nocturnal Arms and their Aspects), so let's go over which Boons, in general, seem to work best with each Aspect in the first game specifically.
The Attack, Special, & Cast modifier Boons typically follow the same naming convention (outside of Ares & sometimes Demeter) of Strike for Attacks, Flourish for Specials, Shot for Casts, and Flare for Cast (Area of Effect). An example would be Aphrodite's Attack modifying Boon being named Heartbreak Strike.
Stygius
The Stygian Blade
Zagreus' main weapon is up first and it's known as Stygius, the Stygian Blade. It's what players are given first when they initially start the game, and it's about as basic as a weapon gets (for good reason). In general, Stygius has a medium attack range, medium damage, and the most basic strikes in Hades.
Keep in mind that each Aspect has different effects, but it doesn't completely change every one of Zagreus' attack options every time. So, when we say 'Any' in all of the tables below, know that this specific action for Zagreus isn't the 'focus' when using this Aspect, so you can typically choose whichever Boon you prefer for modifying that specific action.
Overall, across all Aspects, players will typically want to use Boons that capitalize on boosting the raw damage of the Special and the Boons that boost attack speed since these buffs are very useful for inflicting statuses like Jolted, Chill, or Hangover. This of course differs from Aspect to Aspect, but the Special is almost universally beneficial to build into for every variation of the blade. In general, you can think of the Aspects like this:
- Zagreus: Attack Speed & High-Stacking Ailments (AKA Chill & Hangover)
- Nemesis: Crit Damage, Attack, & Special Damage
- Poseidon: Special Damage/Utility & Cast Damage
- Arthur: Attack & Special Speed/Damage
Name | 'Strike' Recommendations | 'Flourish' Recommendations | 'Shot' Recommendations | 'Flare' Recommendations | 'Dash' Recommendations | 'Other' Recommendations | Boon Recommendation Reasoning |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Aspect of Zagreus | Heartbreak, Lightning, Drunken, Frost, Divine, Deadly, & Swift | Any | Any | Any | Any | Urge to Kill, Support Fire, Greater Haste, Quick Recovery, Greater Evasion, & Greatest Reflex | The standard Attack combo is just too slow compared to other Aspects, but the Special + Dash Attack combo is much faster, so most players end up picking Boons that buff the Special, Dash Strike, or increase attack speed. |
Aspect of Nemesis | Deadly, Divine, Heartbreak, Lightning, & Swift | Heartbreak, Curse of Pain, Deadly, Swift, & Tempest | True & Crystal Beam | Passion, Slicing, Hunter, Trippy, & Flood | Hunter, Divine, Thunder, Tidal, Drunken, Blade, & Passion | Pressure Points, Hide Breaker, Clean Kill, Urge to Kill, Support Fire, Hyper Sprint, Greater Haste & Evasion, Greatest Reflex, & Hydraulic Might | Very similar builds to Aspect of Zagreus, but Artemis Boons are much more highly sought after. Any Boon that has the word 'critical' in it is usually a must-have. |
Aspect of Poseidon | Any | Heartbreak, Curse of Pain, Deadly, Divine, Swift, & Tempest | Electric, Phalanx, & True | None/Any | Passion, Blade, Divine, & Thunder | Flurry Cast, Exit Wounds, Blown Kiss, Urge to Kill, Support Fire, Fully Loaded, Hunter's Mark, Snow Burst, Greater Haste & Recall, Greatest Reflex, Quick Reload, Auto Reload, & Bad News | When built correctly, this is one of the most overpowered Aspects of the game. Exit Wounds is a must-have since the passive of this Aspect causes Casts to dislodge very often. Very centered around Boons that buff Cast or Special damage overall. |
'Hidden' Aspect of Arthur | Divine, Deadly, & Heartbreak | Divine, Deadly, Curse of Pain, Heartbreak, & Swift | Any | Any | Passion, Blade, Divine, & Thunder | Positive Outlook, Greatest Reflex, Quick Recovery, Nourished Soul, and basically any Doom, Weak, or Jolted Boons | 'Slowest' overall playstyle of the four Blade Aspects, but hardest hitting per swing. Deflect Boons and Damage Negation Boons go a long way with this Aspect. |
Varatha
The Eternal Spear
Much like the Stygian Blade, the Eternal Spear known as Varatha is a speedy weapon that's meant to steadily poke enemies down with decent damage but very fast attack speed. Unlike Stygius' AoE Special, however, Varatha has a Special where Zag throws it at his enemies.
It's probably the weapon people find to be their least favorite on average (though players love all the weapon choices in this indie icon overall), but that doesn't at all mean it's underpowered. The Varatha builds very similarly to Stygius, in general (AKA general Attack/Special Damage and especially attack speed) but with less emphasis on the Special and more on the Attack (except for one particular Aspect). Some short notes for each Aspect include:
- Zagreus: Attack Damage, Special Damage, & Special Speed
- Achilles: Attack Damage, Cast Damage, Cast AoE, Special Damage, & Special Speed
- Hades: Attack Damage, Special Damage, & Attack Animation Speed (AKA Daedalus Hammers & Hermes Boons)
- Guan Yu: Attack Speed, Attack Damage, Special Damage, Special AoE, Attack & Special Coverage
Name | 'Strike' Recommendations | 'Flourish' Recommendations | 'Shot' Recommendations | 'Flare' Recommendations | 'Dash' Recommendations | 'Other' Recommendations | Boon Recommendation Reasoning |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Aspect of Zagreus | Divine, Lightning, Double, & Swift | Heartbreak, Divine, Tempest, & Swift | Any | Trippy & Flood | Hunter, Divine, & Drunken | Dying Lament, Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Impending Doom, Frozen Touch, Peer Pressure, High Tolerance, Black Out, Hydraulic Might, Razor Shoals, Wave Pounding, Storm Lightning, High Voltage, Static Discharge, Splitting Bolt, Quick Recovery | This Aspect is much more heavily dependent on the Daedalus Upgrades than the Boon choices, but the innate Special buffs from the Aspect means it should probably be built around its Special. |
Aspect of Achilles | Double | Swift | Crush, True, Phalanx, Flood, & Electric | Passion, Hunter, Phalanx, Icy, Trippy, Flood, & Thunder | Hunter | Flurry Cast, Exit Wounds, Fully Loaded, Holy Shield, Ravenous Will, Snow Burst, High Tolerance, Typhoon's Fury, Razor Shoals, Breaking Wave, Second Wave, Storm Lightning, Static Discharge, Splitting Bolt, Quick Reload, Auto Reload, Greater Recall, Bad NewsFlurry Cast, Exit Wounds, Fully Loaded, Holy Shield, Ravenous Will, Snow Burst, High Tolerance, Typhoon's Fury, Razor Shoals, Breaking Wave, Second Wave, Storm Lightning, Static Discharge, Splitting Bolt, Quick Reload, Auto Reload, Greater Recall, Bad News | To be frank, this Aspect is an improvement on the Aspect of Zagreus in just about every way. As long as players are picking Boons that give them the best immediate DPS options once the Post-Rush buff is active, they should be golden. |
Aspect of Hades | Heartbreak, Deadly, Divine, Tempest, Double & Swift | Any | True, Trippy, Electric, & Crystal Beam | Phalanx & Flood | Divine | Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Support Fire, Glacial Glare, Winter Harvest, High Tolerance, Typhoon's Fury, Razor Shoals, Breaking Wave, Wave Pounding, Second Wave, Storm Lightning, Splitting Bolt, Quick Recovery | This next Aspect takes a while to find a good 'flow' while using it. But, once players do, they'll be able to see the potential this Aspect has since Punishing Sweep gives such a huge Attack and Special buff every time it hits. |
'Hidden' Aspect of Guan Yu | Divine | Deadly, Heartbreak, & Swift | Any | Trippy | Divine & Hunter | Bronze Skin, Nourished Soul, Wave of Despair, Different League, Sweet Surrender, Curse of Vengeance, Urge to Kill, Support Fire, Holy Shield, Divine Protection, Premium Vintage, After Party, Positive Outlook, High Tolerance, Heaven's Vengeance, Lightning Reflexes, Quick Recovery, Greater Evasion, Hyper Sprint, Greatest Reflex | Basically, anything that punishes enemies for hitting Zagreus, makes him take less damage, or keeps him out of harms way is good on this build, since it's such a high-risk high-reward choice. |
Aegis
The Shield of Chaos
Aegis, the Shield of Chaos is the safest (and most commonly used) weapon in Hades on average, which makes sense considering it's, well, a shield. Its moveset allows players to Bull Rush, which is where Zagreus charges up and rockets himself toward enemies while also blocking any incoming damage from the front. It essentially means that Zag can defend while attacking, and it's the only weapon that straight-up has a block mechanic in the entirety of the game.
Typically, half of the Aspects for Aegis build around the Bull Rush mechanic, while the other half build around its Special. But, on average, Boons that build up attack speed, charge speed, and overall Attack seem to do well for the Aegis. Additionally, Boons that apply stacks of debuffs such as Demeter's or Dionysus' also do pretty well since you're throwing out a good number of Attacks with the Aegis (unless you're fully playing around the Bull Rush). Some other general thoughts to keep in mind for each Aspect:
- Zagreus: Attack Speed & Attack Damage
- Chaos: Bull Rush Utility & Special Coverage/Damage
- Zeus: Attack Damage & Special Damage/Coverage
- Beowulf: General Damage/Coverage for Attack, Special, & Cast
Name | 'Strike' Recommendations | 'Flourish' Recommendations | 'Shot' Recommendations | 'Flare' Recommendations | 'Dash' Recommendations | 'Other' Recommendations | Boon Recommendation Reasoning |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Aspect of Zagreus | Heartbreak, Lightning, Drunken, Frost, Divine, Deadly, & Swift | Any | Any | Any | Blade, Divine, Mistral, & Drunken | Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Arctic Blast, Numbing Sensation, Hydraulic Might, Hyper Sprint, Quick Recovery, & Greatest Reflex | Players will be hitting enemies very quickly and very often with the Dash Strike using this Aspect, so it's a great choice for builds centering around high-stack status effects like Hangover or Chill. |
Aspect of Chaos | Any | Heartbreak, Curse of Pain, Divine, Thunder, Divine, Tempest, & Swift | Any | Any | Any | Empty Inside, Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Impending Doom, Support Fire, Blinding Flash, & Hydraulic Might | Builds for this Aspect are typically split between Aphrodite's Heartbreak Flourish or Ares' Curse of Pain as the main catalyst for the build. a very versatile Aspect that works built around most of the Flourish-type Boons overall. |
Aspect of Zeus | Heartbreak, Divine, Curse of Agony, & Swift | Deadly, Frost, Drunken, Thunder, & Swift | Slicing, True, Phalanx, Crystal Beam, Flood, & Electric | Slicing, Passion, Hunter, Phalanx, Flood, & Thunder | Divine, Thunder, Tidal, Blade, & Passion | Dying Lament, Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Impending Doom, Pressure Points, Support First, Arctic Blast, Hydraulic Might, & Greater Haste | Looks for a lot of Boons similar to the Aspect of Zagreus, but with more of a focus on Special-buffing Boons. Put high-stack status effects on the Blitz Disc and low-stack status effects on the Attack. |
'Hidden' Aspect of Beowulf | Divine & Swift | Any | Crush, Slicing, Phalanx, Trippy, & Electric | Passion, Slicing, Phalanx, Trippy, Flood, & Thunder | Any | Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Fully Loaded, Blinding Flash, Ravenous Will, Snow Burst, High Tolerance, Static Discharge, Flurry Cast, Auto Reload, Greater Recall, & Bad News | Boon choices for this Aspect are also pretty versatile compared to the playstyle of the Aspect. Anything that mentions buffing Cast Speed, Cast Damage, or mentions the word 'Cast' at all is likely worth grabbing. |
Coronacht
The Heart Seeking Bow
Coronacht, the Heart-Seeking Bow, is the weapon players might initially expect to like the least in Hades, but veterans and speedrunners know the real truth. Early on, the bow has some of the weakest damage, but the safety it gives Zag by letting him attack from afar shouldn't be underestimated, and that same damage Scales to some pretty absurd levels with the right build.
Even the Special might seem weak at first since the Shotgun spread of arrows seems very situational, but with the right Boons, Daedalus Hammer, and Aspect choice, it can really dish out some absurd damage very quickly. Some quick build thoughts for each Aspect:
- Zagreus: Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Attack Damage, & Attack Speed
- Chiron: Special Damage & Low-Stacking Ailments (Doom) on Attack
- Hera: Cast Damage, Cast AoE, Attack Speed, & Attack Damage
- Rama: Special Low-Stacking Ailments, Attack High-Stacking Ailments, Attack Damage, & Attack Speed
Name | 'Strike' Recommendations | 'Flourish' Recommendations | 'Shot' Recommendations | 'Flare' Recommendations | 'Dash' Recommendations | 'Other' Recommendations | Boon Recommendation Reasoning |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Aspect of Zagreus | Heartbreak, Deadly, Lightning, & Swift | Heartbreak, Deadly, Frost, Thunder, & Swift | True Shot (Any also works) | Hunter (Any also works) | Hunter & Divine | Dying Lament, Sweet Surrender, Broken Resolve, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Clean Kill, Hunter's Mark, Support Fire, Hydraulic Might, Storm Lightning, Static Discharge, & Splitting Bolt | Artemis Boons work incredibly well with this aspect to stack on top of its innate crit chance. Otherwise, just build for raw damage on the Attack and utility on the Special. |
Aspect of Chiron | Swift, Heartbreak, Curse of Agony, Deadly, & Tempest | Heartbreak, Deadly, Divine, Frost, Drunken, Thunder, & Swift | Any | Any | Any | Dire Misfortune, Impending Doom, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Support Fire, Arctic Blast, Winter Harvest, Peer Pressure, Hydraulic Might, Storm Lightning, High Voltage, Static Discharge, Splitting Bolt, & Quick Recovery | The unique variant of the Volley Fire Special on this Aspect works incredibly well for building up status effects quickly, so most players put low-stack limit status effects on their Attack and high-stack limit ones on their Special. |
Aspect of Hera | Heartbreak, Deadly, Drunken, & Swift | Any | True, Crush, Trippy, & Flood | Passion, Hunter, & Trippy | Any | Flurry Cast, Sweet Surrender, Blown Kiss, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Pressure Points, Exit Wounds, Clean Kill, Hunter's Mark, Support Fire, Fully Loaded, Ravenous Will, Black Out, Quick Reload, Auto Reload, Greater Recall, & Bad News | Anything and everything that buffs the Cast or the overall damage of the Attack on this Aspect should be grabbed as soon as it's offered. The higher the Cast damage, the more burst damage Zagreus can do. Also look for anything that increases the amount of Casts as well. |
'Hidden' Aspect of Rama | Heartbreak, Deadly, Divine, & Swift | Frost, Drunken, Thunder, & Swift | Any | Any | Any | Dying Lament, Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Support Fire, Arctic Blast, Winter Harvest, Peer Pressure, Hydraulic Might, Storm Lightning, High Voltage, Static Discharge, & Splitting Bolt | Use the Special to build up status effects and build the Attack for Raw damage. The higher the damage one enemy takes, the more damage the enemies with the Celestial Sharanga debuff will take as well. |
Exagryph
The Adamant Rail
Now it's time for Exagryph, the Adamant Rail, the ancient equivalent of a minigun that Zagreus just 'carries around' around through the Underworld. In Hades 2, you'll recognize that Exagryph is in the hands of Eris (obviously Melinoë doesn't recognize it), who also utilizes her Aspect the same way Zagreus did in the first game. Overall, Exagryph has even lower starting damage than the bow or shield and actually forces players to manually reload quite often, but its attack speed is the fastest in the game, and its Special (for most Aspects) is a giant AoE Grenade that is launched like a mortar shot and explodes on impact.
Overall, Exagryph is the best weapon to build stacking effects on because of its attack speed, while the Special is amazing for single-stack spread, though it does slightly differ from Aspect to Aspect. Quick thoughts for each Aspect include:
- Zagreus: Attack Speed, High-Stacking Ailments, & Attack Damage
- Eris: Attack Damage, Cast Damage, Special Damage, & Special Coverage/Utility
- Hestia: Attack Damage, Dash Utility, Special & Cast Crowd Control
- Lucifer: Attack Damage, Attack Speed, High-Stacking Ailemtns, & Special Damage
Name | 'Strike' Recommendations | 'Flourish' Recommendations | 'Shot' Recommendations | 'Flare' Recommendations | 'Dash' Recommendations | 'Other' Recommendations | Boon Recommendation Reasoning |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Aspect of Zagreus | Lightning, Divine, Drunken, Deadly, Frost, Tempest, & Swift | Any | Crystal Beam | Any | Any | Urge to Kill, Dire Misfortune, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Support Fire, Blinding Flash, Arctic Blast, Winter Harvest, Peer Pressure, Numbing Sensation, Hydraulic Might, Razor Shoals, Breaking Wave, Wave Pounding, High Voltage, Splitting Bolt, Greater Haste, Quick Recovery, & Greatest Reflex | Because the only truly 'powerful' build thats unique to this Aspect relies on a Daedalus Upgrade, most of its recommended Boons also apply to the other Exagryph Aspects as well. |
Aspect of Eris | Deadly, Divine, Frost, Drunken, Lightning, & Swift | Divine, Tempest, & Swift | Any | Any | Divine, Blade, & Tidal | Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Support Fire, Blinding Flash, Arctic Blast, Winter Harvest, Bad Influence, Peer Pressure, Hydraulic Might, High Voltage, Splitting Bolt, Greater Haste, Greatest Reflex, & Quick Recovery | The percentage damage buff that Zag gets from standing in the Special's blast zone is honestly absurd as it is a full global damage increase. Because of this, even things like the damage from Zeus' Lightning or from Dionysus' Hangover that weren't built for percentage increase buffs suddenly become so much stronger. |
Aspect of Hestia | Deadly, Frost, Drunken, Tempest, & Double | Tempest & Slicing | Slicing, True, Flood, Electric, & Crystal Beam | Slicing, Trippy, Flood, & Thunder | Divine & Tidal | Flurry Cast, Urge to Kill, Dire Misfortune, Impending Doom, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Ravenous Kill, Arctic Blast, Winter Harvest, Glacial Glare, Peer Pressure, High Tolerance, Storm Lightning, High Voltage, Splitting Bolt, Quick Recovery, Auto Reload, & Greater Recall. | While Hestia's Aspect is pretty 'one-note' (as are mentions of this NPC in-game) when it comes to its builds, the damage potential of the Empowered Shot is honestly staggering. So, players will want to look for anything and everything that makes that first shot of each clip as strong as possible. |
'Hidden' Aspect of Lucifer | Frost, Drunken, Lightning, Deadly, Swift, & Double | Divine, Frost, Drunken, Tempest, Thunder, & Swift | Crystal Beam (Any as well) | Any | Any | Dire Misfortune, Urge to Kill, Impending Doom, Pressure Points, Support Fire, Clean Kill, Hunter's Mark, Ravenous Will, Arctic Blast, High Tolerance, Hydraulic Might, Storm Lightning, Splitting Bolt, Flurry Cast, Quick Recovery, & Greater Recall | The beam fired from Lucifier's Aspect hits enemies so rapidly for such little damage per hit that almost any build based around one of the high-stack limit status effects (such as Hangover, Frost, or Doom with Dire Misfortune) will output some ridiculous damage numbers. |
Malphon
The Twin Fists
And lastly, let's talk about the Twin Fists of Malphon, the weapon for those who like things fast-paced and want to get up close and personal in Hades (more than you already can). These gauntlets let Zag unleash a flurry of lightning-fast punches by holding down the Attack input, unleash a devastating uppercut Special, and are also the only Infernal Arm with a Dash-Special.
Typical builds for most of the Malphon Aspects share a lot of similarities with the Exagryph builds, as both weapons heavily rely on their attack speed more than they do damage per hit. Also, this is one of the rare Infernal Arms where a Duo Boon+Weapon combo is highly recommended, as the Duo Athena/Ares Boon called Merciful End almost constantly triggers when set up properly, due to every Malphon Aspect going for more hits for less damage over fewer hits for more damage. Some general thoughts on what to build on each Aspect include:
- Zagreus: Very open-ended, but typically High-Stacking Ailments are worth grabbing.
- Talos: Special Damage, Special Speed, Special Utility, Attack High-Stacking Ailments
- Demeter: Attack Speed, Attack Damage, Special Damage, & Special AoE
- Gilgamesh: Attack Speed, Dash Utility, Special Utility, Attack Damage, & Attack Utility
Name | 'Strike' Recommendations | 'Flourish' Recommendations | 'Shot' Recommendations | 'Flare' Recommendations | 'Dash' Recommendations | 'Other' Recommendations | Boon Recommendation Reasoning |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Aspect of Zagreus | Deadly, Divine, Frost, Drunken, Lightning, & Swift | Tempest & Swift | Any | Any | Any | Dying Lament, Different League, Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Hunter's Mark, Support Fire, Frozen Touch, Arctic Blast, Winter Harvest, Bad Influence, Peer Pressure, Hydraulic Might, Razor Shoals, Wave Pounding, Storm Lightning, High Voltage, Static Discharge, Splitting Bolt, Hyper Sprint, Greater Evasion, Greatest Reflex, Second Wind | This Aspect is primarily used by players just getting used to the Malphon Twin Fists, and can be built any number of ways. But, like most Fist builds, use Boons that capitalize on its fast Attack Speed. |
Aspect of Talos | Deadly, Divine, Frost, Drunken, Curse of Agony, Lightning, & Swift | Heartbreak, Curse of Pain, & Swift | Trippy & Flood | Trippy & Flood | Any | Dying Lament, Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Hunter's Mark, Support Fire, Frozen Touch, Arctic Blast, Winter Harvest, High Tolerance, Black Out, Bad Influence, Peer Pressure, Hydraulic Might, Storm Lightning, High Voltage, Static Discharge, Splitting Bolt, Hyper Sprint, Greater Evasion, Greatest Reflex, Second Wind | Magnetic Cutter equalizes the importance of the Attack and Special, and having a good ranged option with the Cast helps too. So, this build splits its Boon preferences between all three attack types pretty equally. |
Aspect of Demeter | Deadly, Divine, Curse of Agony, Drunken, Lightning, & Swift | Heartbreak, Deadly, Divine, Frost, Drunken, Thunder, & Swift | Trippy & Flood | Trippy & Flood | Any | Dying Lament, Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Dire Misfortune, Impending Doom, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Hunter's Mark, Support Fire, Frozen Touch, Arctic Blast, Winter Harvest, High Tolerance, Black Out, Bad Influence, Peer Pressure, Storm Lightning, High Voltage, Static Discharge, Splitting Bolt, Hyper Sprint, Greater Evasion, Greatest Reflex, Second Wind | Players want to use the enhanced Rising Cutter as often as possible. Additionally, when they do use it, they'll want a build that outputs as much burst damage and status build-up as possible. |
'Hidden' Aspect of Gilgamesh | Deadly, Divine, Curse of Agony, & Swift | Heartbreak, Curse of Pain, Divine, Tempest, & Swift | Any | Any | Passion, Blade, Hunter, Divine, & Drunken | Sweet Surrender, Urge to Kill, Battle Rage, Engulfing Vortex, Dire Misfortune, Impending Doom, Vicious Cycle, Pressure Points, Clean Kill, Holy Shield, Frozen Touch, Positive Outlook, Bad Influence, Numbing Sensation, Peer Pressure, High Tolerance, Black Out, Hydraulic Might, Wave Pounding, Lightning Reflexes, Static Discharge, Hyper Sprint, Greater Haste, Quick Recovery, Greater Evasion, Greatest Reflex, Rush Delivery | A much slower-paced Malphon playstyle requires Boons that capitalize on Main, the higher damage-per-hit, and gives Zagreus the ability to easily get out of any risky situations. |
And those are our recommendations for the best Boons to pick for each Infernal Arm Weapon in Hades. Remember, this game was designed for players to feel strong regardless of their build, but some specific builds are stronger than others. So, even if you don't agree with our choices, just know that these options are what worked best for us specifically with each Weapon and all their associated Aspects.
